Uninstalling the network adapter and then serach for any hardware changes reinstalled my adapter and it shows up now in the network folder and no more X through my network icon I can ping other computers but am not able to open shared drives on other computers. mike Spot on. After the upgrade was complete (upgrade mode: do not keep Apps) i had no WLAN or Ethernet connection. Find, Computer worked, but even after the workstation found Betelgeuse, the domain controller didn't show up in the workstation's Network Neighborhood. Thomas Method 4 worked fine. I dialed in to my network at home and connected without trouble.
